Video game took a long time to develop to a level where everyone knows. In 1940s game was very simple because of hardware limitation it only produced simple flicking lights and sound. In early stage of development games were more to experimenting tools then entertaining. Then around 1970s the companies started to produce video games with console or arcade platform. In that time Atari was leading company in the industry producing iconic games such as pac man and block buster with improved 8bit graphic technology.

When NES became leading gaming console in 1980s Nintendo improved quality of games with much colorful graphic with their power of their new console.However it was still 2D graphic until 1990s.
In 1990 game companys were trying to improve their game by generating 3D graphic rather then 2D and Wallenstein 3D was one of the first example 3D First person shooter. From console in 1990s CD was used to transfer games to a computer. As its capacity is much greater then cartridge games like half life 1 or starcraft were able to played in a house.

In 20th century game graphic was improve as technology develop further. In a result most of games in early 20th games are able to create 3D graphic with much better and faster quality. Also large online multiply games such as MMO RPG became much popular genre with the internet.

Game is still growing and evolving rapidly with computer technology and it becoming more realistic to reality. Latest game trend is a VR(virtual reality) where player wear device to see a screen as a glasses which shows graphics. On the other hand Microsoft announced their Hololense which use hologram when a person wear their device to show a graphic generated pictures.
